The Lutjewinkel Rich & Creamy has a particular taste that’s in between an aged and extra aged cheese. However, like all of the other Lutjewinkel cheeses, it still has a somewhat sweet and creamy aftertaste, hence the name.

Fat 35+, pasteurized cow's milk, rennet, starter culture, salt

Ever since 1916, in the North of the province Noord-Holland in the Netherlands, local cheese masters have been producing this cheese. It is made according to a secret, traditional recipe, and best described as spicy, rich and full of flavor. Even though it’s a firm cheese you can still cut and grate it very well. This makes it the perfect topping on bread, but also a nice addition to an old fashioned Dutch cheese platter.

We sell the Lutjewinkel 1916 Rich & Creamy in one piece, which we cut after you buy it. We will then pack it vacuum and send it to you in a cooled container, so it will ll arrive fresh. Since it is a very hard cheese it can easily be shipped by mail. Store it in the fridge on the right temperature, and enjoy it for around 4 weeks max. When you keep the vacuum package closed, it’ll stay fresh for around two months, even out of the fridge.
